Alec Cassidy

Alec Cassidy is a film and television composer at Twonked Music and Senior Director of Web Design & Digital Marketing at 7to8 Production and Distribution. His role at 7to8 includes designing all web assets, film graphics, and managing social media.

Cassidy holds a bachelor’s degree in music composition and film production from the University of Pittsburgh, winning numerous awards for his music. Alec composed for eight short films during his time at Pitt and was able to record the score for his short film, Forte (2025), with the Pitt Symphony Orchestra – a first for the university.

Alec continues to compose for independent filmmakers across Pittsburgh while also working at the School of Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.
